Based on a comparison of 20 banks in Czechia in 2Q2016, Fio banka operated with the lowest loan to deposit ratio, followed by PPF Banka and Air Bank.
Fio banka's loan to deposit ratio reached 27.4% at the end of 2Q2016, down from 27.9% when compared to the previous quarter and up from 25.1% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank’s loans to deposits hit an all time high of 42.6% in 1Q2012 and an all time low of 23.9% in 4Q2015.
When compared to the nearest peers, PPF Banka ended the year 2Q2016 with loans to deposits at 27.4%, Air Bank with 38.6% and Stavebni Sporitelna Ceske Sporitelny some 49.6% of loans to deposits at the end of 2Q2016.
Overall, total loans of the Czech banking sector amounted to 78.1% of deposits at the end of 2Q2016.
