MONETA Money Bank's net interest margin amounted to 5.86% in 2Q2016, down from 6.13% when compared to the previous quarter and up from 5.42% when compared to the same period of last year.
Historically, the bank’s net interest margin reached an all time high of 7.49% in 4Q2004 and an all time low of 4.59% in 2Q2010. The average margin in the last five years amounted to 5.83%.
Average asset yield was 5.99% in 2Q2016, up from 5.57% when compared to previous year. On the other hand, cost of funding amounted to 0.161% in 2Q2016, down from 0.190%.
When compared to the nearest peers, Equa Bank operated in 2Q2016 with a net interest margin of 2.66% Banka Creditas reached 2.65% and Ceska Sporitelna some 2.51%.
The average net interest margin reached 1.88% in the Czech banking sector in 2Q2016 while interest spread amounted to 3.74%.
