MONETA Money Bank's net interest margin amounted to 4.95% in 1Q2017, down from 5.36% when compared to the previous quarter and down from 6.13% when compared to the same period of last year.
Historically, the bank’s net interest margin reached an all time high of 7.49% in 4Q2004 and an all time low of 4.59% in 2Q2010. The average margin in the last five years amounted to 5.59%.
Average asset yield was 5.07% in 1Q2017, down from 6.26% when compared to previous year. On the other hand, cost of funding amounted to 0.150% in 1Q2017, down from 0.168%.
When compared to the nearest peers, Equa Bank operated in 1Q2017 with a net interest margin of 2.81% Trinity Bank reached 2.48% and Sberbank Czech Republic some 2.19%.
The average net interest margin reached 1.68% in the Czech banking sector in 1Q2017 while interest spread amounted to 3.54%.
