Zagrebacka Banka's mortgage loans reached HRK 16,263 mil, down from HRK 17,329 mil compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s mortgage loans reached an all time high of HRK 20,007 mil in 2012 and an all time low of HRK 3,838 mil in 2000.
At the end of 2016, mortgage loans represented 20.1% of Zagrebacka Banka's loan book.
Comparing Zagrebacka Banka with its closest peers, Privredna Banka Zagreb's mortgage loans amounted to HRK 10,063 mil at the end of 2016, Addiko Bank Croatia operated with HRK 5,120 mil mortgage loans and Istarska Kreditna Banka Umag had a mortgage loan book of HRK 265 mil at the end of 2016.
Croatian banking sector provided mortgage loans of HRK 49.5 mil in 2016, down 11.2% when compared to the previous year. As a result, the top ranked company - Zagrebacka Banka accounted for 32.9% of the sector’s mortgage loans in 2016.
