Based on a comparison of 23 banks in Croatia in 2017, Zagrebacka Banka was the largest deposit taker, followed by Privredna Banka Zagreb and Erste & Steiermarkische Bank.
Zagrebacka Banka's customer deposits reached HRK 95,249 mil, up from HRK 92,228 mil, compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of HRK 95,249 mil in 2017 and an all time low of HRK 27,307 mil in 2000.
Comparing Zagrebacka Banka with its closest peers, Privredna Banka Zagreb's deposits amounted to HRK 78,157 mil at the end of 2017, Erste & Steiermarkische Bank operated with HRK 44,374 mil of customer deposits and Raiffeisenbank Croatia had clients' deposits of HRK 23,780 mil at the end of 2017.
Croatian banks had customer deposits of CZK 279 bil in 2017, up 2.10% when compared to the last year. As a result, the top ranked company - Zagrebacka Banka accounted for 34.1% of the sector’s deposits in 2017. The top 3 companies held a 78.0% share while the five largest firms some 93.9% in 2017.
