Average asset yield was 4.34% in 2016, down from 4.55% when compared to previous year. On the other hand, cost of funding amounted to 1.00% in 2016, down from 1.60%.
Comparing OTP Bank Croatia with its closest peers, Erste & Steiermarkische Bank operated in 2016 with a net interest margin of 3.08% Privredna Banka Zagreb reached 3.02% and Podravska Banka some 3.01%.
The average net interest margin reached 2.65% in the Croatian banking sector in 2016 while interest spread amounted to 5.40%.
