Based on a comparison of 13 banks in China in 2018, Postal Savings Bank of China operated with the lowest loan to deposit ratio, followed by Agricultural Bank of China and Industrial & Commercial Bank of China.
Postal Savings Bank of China's loan to deposit ratio reached 48.1% at the end of 2018, up from 43.9% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s loans to deposits hit an all time high of 48.1% in 2018 and an all time low of 25.9% in 2012.
Comparing Postal Savings Bank of China with its closest peers, Agricultural Bank of China ended the year 2018 with loans to deposits at 64.3%, Industrial & Commercial Bank of China with 69.2% and China Construction Bank some 76.5% of loans to deposits at the end of 2018.
