When compared to total assets, bank's cost amounted to 1.39% in 2016, down from 0.967% a year earlier.
Comparing Bulgarian Development Bank with its closest peers, UniCredit Bulbank operated in 2016 with a cost to income ratio of 32.0%, DSK Bank reached 41.1% and United Bulgarian Bank some 41.5%.
The average cost to income ratio reached 43.4% in the Bulgarian banking sector in 2016.
