Average cost reached BGN 2,789 per month per employee, 5.52% more than a year ago. This figure was BGN 2,125 per month some 10 years ago.
Staff accounted for 50.6% of total operating expenditures in 2017.
Comparing UniCredit Bulbank with its closest peers, Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria had 2,711 employees with average cost of BGN 2,382 per month per person, Eurobank Bulgaria operated with 2,200 people (and BGN 2,354 per month per employee) and United Bulgarian Bank had 2,600 employees in 2017 with cost of BGN 2,255 per month per head.
The average staff cost per employee reached BGN 2,208 per month in the Bulgarian banking sector in 2017.
