Bank's total revenues accounted for 4.21% of total assets in 2016, up from 4.16% a year earlier.
Comparing UniCredit Bulbank with its closest peers, DSK Bank generated total revenues of BGN 754 mil, or 6.38% of assets in 2016, First Investment Bank operated with BGN 472 mil total income, or 5.19% revenue margin and United Bulgarian Bank produced total income worth BGN 406 mil, or 5.94% of assets.
Bulgarian banking sector generated total revenues of BGN 4,057 mil in 2016, down 1.70% when compared to the previous year. As a result, the top ranked company - UniCredit Bulbank accounted for 21.1% of the sector’s total income in 2016. The top 3 companies held a 51.4% share while the five largest firms some 70.4% in 2016.
