When compared to total assets, bank's cost amounted to 1.39% in 2016, down from 1.23% a year earlier.
Comparing BAWAG Group with its closest peers, Oberbank operated in 2016 with a cost to income ratio of 50.2%, Steiermarkische Sparkasse reached 54.5% and Raiffeisen Bank Int. some 58.8%.
