Bank Austria Group's capital adequacy ratio reached 20.8%, up from 14.9% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 20.8% in 2016 and an all time low of 9.19% in 2008.
Comparing Bank Austria Group with its closest peers, Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederosterreich-Wien ended the year 2016 with a capital adequacy ratio at 20.4%, Oberbank with 19.4% and Raiffeisen Bank Int. some 19.2% at the end of 2016.
The average capital adequacy reached 18.2% in the Austrian banking sector in 2016.
