Voestalpine has overcame the financial crisis relatively well. Sales have reached the pre-crisis level of EUR 11.5 bil already in 2012, up 35% from its low in 2009. The operating profit reached EUR 854 mil in 2012 and was only 26% below the record level seen in the exceptional year 2007
