Vietnamese banking sector accepted customer deposits of VND 6,810,038 bil in 2017, up 14.6% when compared to the last year.
Vietcombank accounted for 10.4% of all customer deposits taken by banks in Vietnam at the end of 2017. Historically, the bank’s market share in customer deposits reached an all time high of 51.3% in 2001 and an all time low of 9.01% in 2013.
That's compared to a 10.7% market share the bank held in terms of total assets at the end of 2017.
