Total primary coal production rose 14.4% to 9,084 kt in Kosovo in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, total primary coal production in Kosovo reached an all time high of 9,572 kt in 2012 and an all time low of 7,941 kt in 2014. When compared to Kosovo's main peers, total primary coal production in Albania amounted to 0.100 kt, 6,543 kt in Macedonia, 1,954 kt in Montenegro and 41,696 kt in Serbia in 2015.
Kosovo has been ranked 27th within the group of 66 countries we follow in terms of total primary coal production, 27 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
