Historically, total dependency ratio in Croatia reached an all time high of 56.5% in 2021 and an all time low of 45.8% in 1984. When compared to Croatia's main peers, total dependency ratio in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 42.5%, 46.2% in Montenegro, 44.4% in Serbia and 52.2% in Slovenia in 2022.
