Total coal consumption rose 129% to 371 kt in Lebanon in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, total coal consumption in Lebanon reached an all time high of 371 kt in 2015 and an all time low of 3.31 kt in 1982. When compared to Lebanon's main peers, total coal consumption in Cyprus amounted to 6.61 kt, 11,568 kt in Israel, 153 kt in Jordan and 3.41 kt in Syria in 2015.
