Unmanufactured tobacco production rose 9.25% to 1,216 tonnes in Kyrgyzstan in 2022, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Kyrgyzstan reached an all time high of 48,600 tonnes in 1993 and an all time low of 470 tonnes in 2016. When compared to Kyrgyzstan's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in China amounted to 2,188,100 tonnes, 1,193 tonnes in Kazakhstan, 189 tonnes in Tajikistan and 2,012 tonnes in Uzbekistan in 2022.
Kyrgyzstan has been ranked 82nd within the group of 115 countries we follow in terms of unmanufactured tobacco production, 31 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
