Unmanufactured tobacco production rose 8.80% to 10,256 tonnes in Algeria in 2022, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Algeria reached an all time high of 15,164 tonnes in 2019 and an all time low of 1,933 tonnes in 1976. When compared to Algeria's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Libya amounted to 1,178 tonnes, 1,274 tonnes in Morocco, 19,940 tonnes in Spain and 2,274 tonnes in Tunisia in 2022.
