Unmanufactured tobacco production rose 5.50% to 4,238 tonnes in Colombia in 2022, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Colombia reached an all time high of 68,300 tonnes in 1976 and an all time low of 4,017 tonnes in 2021. When compared to Colombia's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Brazil amounted to 667,293 tonnes, 2,059 tonnes in Peru and 2,545 tonnes in Venezuela in 2022.
Colombia has been ranked 54th within the group of 115 countries we follow in terms of unmanufactured tobacco production, 22 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
