Unmanufactured tobacco production rose 18.4% to 7,543 tonnes in Nicaragua in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Nicaragua reached an all time high of 7,543 tonnes in 2021 and an all time low of 600 tonnes in 1962. When compared to Nicaragua's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Costa Rica amounted to 33.0 tonnes, 1,780 tonnes in El Salvador, 5,850 tonnes in Honduras and 17,824 tonnes in Mexico in 2021.
