Unmanufactured tobacco production rose 15.5% to 1,113 tonnes in Kyrgyzstan in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Kyrgyzstan reached an all time high of 48,600 tonnes in 1993 and an all time low of 470 tonnes in 2016. When compared to Kyrgyzstan's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in China amounted to 2,127,600 tonnes, 1,138 tonnes in Kazakhstan, 184 tonnes in Tajikistan and 3,895 tonnes in Uzbekistan in 2021.
Kyrgyzstan has been ranked 89th within the group of 116 countries we follow in terms of unmanufactured tobacco production, 44 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
