Unmanufactured tobacco production rose 128% to 10,883 tonnes in Ecuador in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Ecuador reached an all time high of 10,883 tonnes in 2021 and an all time low of 851 tonnes in 1961. When compared to Ecuador's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Brazil amounted to 744,161 tonnes, 4,017 tonnes in Colombia, 2,803 tonnes in Panama and 2,052 tonnes in Peru in 2021.
Ecuador has been ranked 38th within the group of 116 countries we follow in terms of unmanufactured tobacco production, 13 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
