Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Panama reached an all time high of 2,803 tonnes in 2021 and an all time low of 506 tonnes in 1972. When compared to Panama's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Colombia amounted to 4,017 tonnes, 33.0 tonnes in Costa Rica, 5,850 tonnes in Honduras and 7,543 tonnes in Nicaragua in 2021.
