Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Uruguay reached an all time high of 3,352 tonnes in 2022 and an all time low of 143 tonnes in 1966. When compared to Uruguay's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Argentina amounted to 95,639 tonnes, 667,293 tonnes in Brazil, 2,584 tonnes in Chile and 5,790 tonnes in Paraguay in 2022.
