Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Uruguay reached an all time high of 3,315 tonnes in 2021 and an all time low of 143 tonnes in 1966. When compared to Uruguay's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Argentina amounted to 102,071 tonnes, 744,161 tonnes in Brazil, 3,925 tonnes in Chile and 7,459 tonnes in Paraguay in 2021.
