Unmanufactured tobacco production rose 0.371% to 5,008 tonnes in Rwanda in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Rwanda reached an all time high of 5,405 tonnes in 2011 and an all time low of 680 tonnes in 1966. When compared to Rwanda's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Burundi amounted to 1,306 tonnes, 58,508 tonnes in Tanzania, 32,563 tonnes in Uganda and 3,667 tonnes in Dem. Republic of the Congo in 2021.
