Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Dem. People's Republic of Korea reached an all time high of 87,675 tonnes in 2019 and an all time low of 37,000 tonnes in 1961. When compared to Dem. People's Republic of Korea's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in China amounted to 2,188,100 tonnes, 8,782 tonnes in Japan, 28,649 tonnes in South Korea and 34,872 tonnes in Vietnam in 2022.
