Unmanufactured tobacco production fell 66.4% to 4,017 tonnes in Colombia in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Colombia reached an all time high of 68,300 tonnes in 1976 and an all time low of 4,017 tonnes in 2021. When compared to Colombia's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Brazil amounted to 744,161 tonnes, 2,052 tonnes in Peru and 2,843 tonnes in Venezuela in 2021.
Colombia has been ranked 56th within the group of 116 countries we follow in terms of unmanufactured tobacco production, 21 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
