Unmanufactured tobacco production fell 5.98% to 10,232 tonnes in Ecuador in 2022, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Ecuador reached an all time high of 10,883 tonnes in 2021 and an all time low of 851 tonnes in 1961. When compared to Ecuador's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Brazil amounted to 667,293 tonnes, 4,238 tonnes in Colombia, 2,748 tonnes in Panama and 2,059 tonnes in Peru in 2022.
Ecuador has been ranked 36th within the group of 115 countries we follow in terms of unmanufactured tobacco production, 12 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
