Unmanufactured tobacco production fell 34.2% to 2,584 tonnes in Chile in 2022, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Chile reached an all time high of 19,636 tonnes in 1993 and an all time low of 2,584 tonnes in 2022. When compared to Chile's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Argentina amounted to 95,639 tonnes, 1,184 tonnes in Bolivia, 5,790 tonnes in Paraguay and 3,352 tonnes in Uruguay in 2022.
Chile has been ranked 63rd within the group of 115 countries we follow in terms of unmanufactured tobacco production, 13 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
