Unmanufactured tobacco production fell 23.8% to 11,500 tonnes in South Africa in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in South Africa reached an all time high of 47,707 tonnes in 1979 and an all time low of 9,041 tonnes in 2008.
