Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in the USA reached an all time high of 1,063,100 tonnes in 1963 and an all time low of 169,130 tonnes in 2020. When compared to USA's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Canada amounted to 27,787 tonnes, 2,188,100 tonnes in China, 8,782 tonnes in Japan and 16,511 tonnes in Mexico in 2022.
