Unmanufactured tobacco production fell 1.56% to 3.15 tonnes in Benin in 2022, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Benin reached an all time high of 1,264 tonnes in 1973 and an all time low of 3.00 tonnes in 2017. When compared to Benin's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Burkina Faso amounted to 755 tonnes, 1,111 tonnes in Niger, 5,673 tonnes in Nigeria and 1,948 tonnes in Togo in 2022.
