Unmanufactured tobacco production fell 13.2% to 19,040 tonnes in Cuba in 2022, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Cuba reached an all time high of 54,599 tonnes in 1981 and an all time low of 8,219 tonnes in 1980. When compared to Cuba's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Dominican Republic amounted to 10,116 tonnes, 1,598 tonnes in Jamaica, 16,511 tonnes in Mexico and 202,920 tonnes in USA in 2022.
