In 2014, Škoda Auto sold more than 1 million cars for the first time reaching a market share of 1.6% worldwide. That is compared to only 210,000 cars, the Company sold in 1995. Following the takover of the Company by Germany's VW in 1990's, Škoda Auto has increased its market share nearly three times. In 2014, Octavia represented over 37% of total Company's sales (or 389,257 cars), followed by Rapis (21%) and Fabia with over 15%.
