In 2014, Škoda Auto sold more than 1 million cars for the first time reaching a market share of 1.6% worldwide. That is compared to only 210,000 cars, the Company sold in 1995. The average price per Skoda car sold has reached CZK 288,000 (USD 13,502) in 2014 including revenues from spare parts. That's some 20% less than a decade ago, partly as a result of a foreign expansion and a launch of smaller and cheaper brands such as Roomster, Rapid, or Citigo. Having said that, Company's profitability remains impressive with a net profit exceeding 6% of average sales. In 2014, net profit of CZK 17,760 (USD 831) has been achieved for each car sold.
