Sales of electric cars rose 94.7% to 34.0 thousand in Switzerland in 2020, according to ACEA.
Historically, sales of electric cars in Switzerland reached an all time high of 34.0 thousand in 2020 and an all time low of 1.16 thousand in 2013. When compared to Switzerland's main peers, sales of electric cars in Austria amounted to 23.6 thousand, 186 thousand in France, 395 thousand in Germany and 59.9 thousand in Italy in 2020.
Switzerland has been ranked 10th within the group of 29 countries we follow in terms of sales of electric cars, 10 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
