Sales of electric cars rose 263% to 395 thousand in Germany in 2020, according to ACEA.
Historically, sales of electric cars in Germany reached an all time high of 395 thousand in 2020 and an all time low of 0.020 thousand in 2009. When compared to Germany's main peers, sales of electric cars in Austria amounted to 23.6 thousand, 46.3 thousand in Belgium, 186 thousand in France and 8.10 thousand in Poland in 2020.
Germany has been ranked 1st within the group of 29 countries we follow in terms of sales of electric cars, 7 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
