Sales of electric cars rose 2.62% yoy to 12.5 thousand in Austria in 3Q2022, according to ACEA. This is 17.3% more than in the previous quarter.
Historically, sales of electric cars in Austria reached an all time high of 12.9 thousand in 2Q2021 and an all time low of 1.23 thousand in 3Q2016. When compared to Austria's main peers, sales of electric cars in Germany amounted to 182 thousand, 2.31 thousand in Hungary, 22.7 thousand in Italy and 12.8 thousand in Switzerland in 3Q2022.
Austria has been ranked 12th within the group of 30 countries we follow in terms of sales of electric cars.
