Sales of electric cars rose 25.0% yoy to 21.7 thousand in Belgium in 3Q2022, according to ACEA. This is 3.10% less than in the previous quarter.
Historically, sales of electric cars in Belgium reached an all time high of 24.9 thousand in 1Q2022 and an all time low of 2.13 thousand in 3Q2016. When compared to Belgium's main peers, sales of electric cars in France amounted to 73.4 thousand, 182 thousand in Germany, 2.30 thousand in Luxembourg and 24.4 thousand in Netherlands in 3Q2022.
Belgium has been ranked 8th within the group of 30 countries we follow in terms of sales of electric cars.
