Sales of electric cars rose 161% to 46.3 thousand in Belgium in 2020, according to ACEA.
Historically, sales of electric cars in Belgium reached an all time high of 46.3 thousand in 2020 and an all time low of 0.500 thousand in 2013. When compared to Belgium's main peers, sales of electric cars in France amounted to 186 thousand, 395 thousand in Germany, 5.16 thousand in Luxembourg and 89.1 thousand in Netherlands in 2020.
Belgium has been ranked 8th within the group of 29 countries we follow in terms of sales of electric cars, 8 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
