Sales of electric cars rose 107% to 23.6 thousand in Austria in 2020, according to ACEA.
Historically, sales of electric cars in Austria reached an all time high of 23.6 thousand in 2020 and an all time low of 0.654 thousand in 2013. When compared to Austria's main peers, sales of electric cars in Germany amounted to 395 thousand, 6.04 thousand in Hungary, 59.9 thousand in Italy and 34.0 thousand in Switzerland in 2020.
Austria has been ranked 12th within the group of 29 countries we follow in terms of sales of electric cars, 12 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
