Sales of passenger cars rose 0.538% to 1,659 thousand in France in 2021, according to ACEA.
Historically, sales of passenger cars in France reached an all time high of 2,309 thousand in 1990 and an all time low of 1,650 thousand in 2020. When compared to France's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Belgium amounted to 383 thousand, 2,622 thousand in Germany, 1,458 thousand in Italy and 859 thousand in Spain in 2021.
France has been ranked 2nd within the group of 30 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 6 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
