Historically, sales of passenger cars in France reached an all time high of 2,309 thousand in 1990 and an all time low of 1,529 thousand in 2022. When compared to France's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Belgium amounted to 366 thousand, 2,651 thousand in Germany, 1,317 thousand in Italy and 813 thousand in Spain in 2022.
