Sales of passenger cars fell 6.97% yoy to 209 thousand in Germany in September 2024, according to ACEA. This is 5.84% more than in the previous month.
Historically, sales of passenger cars in Germany reached an all time high of 553 thousand in July 1991 and an all time low of 121 thousand in April 2020. When compared to Germany's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Austria amounted to 19.9 thousand, 31.7 thousand in Belgium, 139 thousand in France and 41.5 thousand in Poland in September 2024.
