Sales of passenger cars fell 6.46% to 185 thousand in Denmark in 2021, according to ACEA.

Historically, sales of passenger cars in Denmark reached an all time high of 226 thousand in 2019 and an all time low of 63.7 thousand in 1960. When compared to Denmark's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Germany amounted to 2,622 thousand, 323 thousand in Netherlands, 176 thousand in Norway and 301 thousand in Sweden in 2021.

Denmark has been ranked 13th within the group of 30 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 25 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
