Sales of passenger cars fell 15.9% to 53,599 thousand in the World in 2020, according to ACEA.
Historically, sales of passenger cars in the World reached an all time high of 70,695 thousand in 2017 and an all time low of 11,000 thousand in 1961. When compared to World's main peers, sales of passenger cars in China amounted to 20,178 thousand, 2,918 thousand in Germany, 3,810 thousand in Japan and 3,402 thousand in USA in 2020.
