Sales of cars as a share of worldwide production fell 3.83% to 5.44% in Germany in 2020, according to ACEA.

Historically, sales of cars as a share of worldwide production in Germany reached an all time high of 11.9% in 1991 and an all time low of 4.62% in 2014. When compared to Germany's main peers, sales of cars as a share of worldwide production in Austria amounted to 0.481%, 0.792% in Belgium, 3.08% in France and 0.799% in Poland in 2020.
