Historically, sales of cars as a share of worldwide production in the USA reached an all time high of 53.9% in 1961 and an all time low of 6.35% in 2020. When compared to USA's main peers, sales of cars as a share of worldwide production in Canada amounted to 0.595%, 37.6% in China, 7.11% in Japan and 0.993% in Mexico in 2020.
